Mina
Woman of many voices
Unwished-for safety carried within
Defenders lash out at all those who dare approach
Testing the mettle of the invader.
If all goes well,
grudging acceptance is granted;
If not, you remain in retreat
behind the safe, dangerous walls.
You huddle in fear as others within you
make fierce attempts to keep you protected
T, who holds your inner strength
Diana, keeper of your sexuality, small and afraid
when not using her main skill
Is the Animal Keeper another side, sweet and damaged,
or is she the core?

I don't have a date on this, but it had to be around the time I wrote the songs "Sweet Survivor"
(which it may have been the prefatory poem for) and "Every Day of the Year", but before
"Raven and Crow".
