The Coven Grows
- Mordewis ap Llys
With help from Shain Stewart ("The Coven Grows")
and Robert Warren (IT'S YOUR FAULT, ROBBIE!)
(tune "The Thunder Rolls" by Pat Alger and Garth Brooks)
Ten thirty in the evening, a raven in full flight
The Circle's looking like a temple on a moonlit summer night
Raindrops on the oak tree, there's a storm moving through
He's headed home to somewhere that his heart is calling to
And the Coven grows... and the Coven grows
Candle light is burning in the house outside of town
She's pacing by the wood stove in her hooded flannel gown
Asking for a miracle, she knows the time is right
Praying that the weather won't stay this way all night
And the Coven grows... and the Coven grows!
(Chorus)
The Coven grows and the magick strikes
Another pagan robes on a moonlit night
As She sings with life from the seeds She sows
Deep in our hearts, the Coven grows!
We feel the Mother's presence as the Nazarene's cult dies
Like the light that flew so freshly between the rolling skies
And on the wind and the darkness a strange new perfume blows
And the lightning flashes in our eyes, and everybody knows
That the Coven grows... the Coven grows!
(Chorus)
We run out to the old grove, through the ancient stones
Feel the magick growing, we can feel it in our bones
We call down Lord and Lady, like we have so oft before
Tonight we'll draw the Circle, call the Guardians to their doors
And the Coven grows... and the Coven grows!
(Chorus)
