I don’t get paid until Friday. Out of food now. Needed a belt. So we went to Ladies of Charity. I got a few things, including cheese bagels, found a belt which will work for a couple months, got another pair of jeans and some (gasp!) short pants (no woman has ever gotten me in those since I left my parents’ house). Also got another decent short-sleeved shirt.
We have an infestation of poison ivy and sumac on the side of the house. Right along the circuit breaker box. I had to use a rake to get it away so I could check the circuit breaker for the hot water heater — it was after my little Wraithe had gone to bed, and she thought it was thunder. The water heater has been fixed, and doesn’t work at all now. There are upper and lower elements, the lower one had the wiring and thermostat totally burned out and Kenny fixed that. But he didn’t check the element itself to my knowledge… and might have gotten the wiring wrong, because now even the upper element is not working. So for now I’m doing sponge baths and shaving.
