Unicorns are pure....
You’re a Unicorn! Unicorns are pure, innocent,
magestic creatures that have a spiraling white
horn growing out of their forehead, and a white
graceful, horse’s body. Unicorns represent the
sign of purity, innocence, freindship, healing,
rejeventation, and truth. Your horn is a rare
prize, but you tend to be naive, lured by a
childs cry. Unicorns are reare, beautiful and
shy mythical creatures, and you are lucky to be
one.

I just shut down my other Xanga site.  I saved all the text as a

There is no real, lasting joy in proving that you’re better than
someone else. Yet there is endless joy and fulfillment in being the
best that you can be.

It will ultimately mean nothing that you’ve collected a large store of
trinkets and worldly possessions. Yet it can truly mean everything when
you have worked to create real value for yourself, your world, and
those around you.

There is nothing of any value that you will gain by deception. Yet
there is a whole universe of richness to be experienced when you seek
truth.

Each time you set out to cheat life, you will end up cheating yourself.
Yet whatever you freely and lovingly give, will be yours in
ever-increasing measure.

Success in life comes not from gaining any kind of secret or exclusive
advantage. Real success comes from openly and authentically being the
unique, immensely valuable person you are.

Reach into yourself and touch those things that truly matter. The best of life can be yours this very moment.

Comparison and competition are meaningless to an awakened soul. The

I just want y’all to know that I post the stuff here to remind
myself.  I’m preaching to me… if it means something to you,
that’s great.  This one today is one I defintely need more work
on…  And I should say the obvious, something everyone who knows
me already knows… I LOVE YOU, KAYLA!!!!!

The one thing more difficult than following a regimen is not imposing it on others.
– Marcel Proust

We’re afraid of either failure or success. If we’re closer to success,
we’ll fear success. If we’re closer to failure, we’ll fear failure. The
issue isn’t success or failure. The issue is the presence of fear, and
its inevitability wherever love is absent.
– Marianne Williamson, A Year of Daily Wisdom

You know quite well deep within you,
that there is only a single magic,
a single power, a single salvation . . .
And that is called loving.
Well then, love your suffering.
Do not resist it, do not flee from it.
It is only your aversion that hurts,
nothing else.

-Herman Hesse

…there are but three truths: you create your reality, you are a Piece
of the One, and you absolutely cannot fail.  Life is not measured
by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our
breath away.  Hatred can never put an end to hatred, love alone
can. This is the unalterable law.

You have powers you never dreamed of. You can do things you never
thought you could do. There are no limitations in what you can do
except the limitations of your own mind.
– Darwin P. Kingsley

God is making use of you – you should be grateful He’s found a use for you.

I have seen several posts today on celebrating the struggle for women’s
equality.  This bothers me, and I’ll tell you why.  So many
women — and men — see equality as a competition, not a sharing. We
still have not changed the paradigm of superiority and competition for
a paradigm of partnership. This is our greatest challenge, IMHO.
– Moss Bliss (you heard it here first!)

Your journey has molded you for your greater good, and it was exactly
what it needed to be. Don’t think that you’ve lost time. There is no
short-cutting to life. It took each and every situation you have
encountered to bring you to the now. And now is right on time.
– Asha Tyson

Why does talk about a united world remain only talk?  Division
begins in an individual mind and spreads itself throughout the
world.  Now, where must non-division begin if we are to unite the
world?
– Vernon Howard, Esoteric Encyclopedia of Eternal Knowledge

Unity is an external manifestation only when it is our internal condition.
– Carson’s Commentary

Identifying an imbalance in your life doesn’t mean you have to rush out
and try to bring it into balance. Rather than resisting the imbalance,
or taking a position that lack of balance is bad, you can just relax
and accept it as what is happening in this moment.
– John-Roger with Paul Kaye, from Momentum, Letting Love Lead – Simple Practices for Spiritual Living, p. 8-9

First you walk down a road, and without looking, fall into a hole. and may sit there for awhile, before you learn to climb out.

Then you may walk down that same road and learn to walk around the hole.

Finally you don’t walk down that road anymore.

5 Cardinal Beliefs to Be a Spiritual Creator
By Deepak Chopra

From a spiritual viewpoint you are always a creator. The tiniest
situation in your life is not made “out there” but “in here,” from the
source of reality, which is awareness. People who believe that the
material world is causing things to happen are simply unconscious
creators-they haven’t taken responsibility for being authors of their
own lives. Since all of us are conditioned to believe that nature
operates independently of what we think, wish, dream, and feel,
reclaiming authorship of our reality is a gradual process that is
fostered by our ability to be present to our intentions, moment by
moment.

To cultivate your connection to spirit, hold these 5 cardinal beliefs in mind:

1. I am an empty vessel. Inspiration fills me every day, but I am not here to hold onto anything that comes to me.
2. I am here to pass energy from one state to another. Hopefully, I
move it from a lower to a higher state, since my purpose is to direct
everything toward spirit.
3. I do not have to control the flow of reality, I bend where spirit bids me.
4. The fullness of spirit, not my ego, provides.
5. If I live from the source of creation, only good can come to me. Everything from spirit comes from love.

– Deepak Chopra

Civilization is a word we use to define self’s feeble attempt to
duplicate Oneness.  Since self is an illusion, it follows that
civilization is also an illusion.  One is the only reality.
One has no branch offices, divisions, or independent contractors.

Healing Laughter … A wonderful giggle!
Swami Beyondananda:

1. Be a fundamentalist, make sure fun always comes before the mental.
Realize that life is a situation comedy that will never be cancelled. A
laugh track has been provided and the reason why we are put in the
material world is to get more material. Have a good laughsitive twice a
day and that will insure regular hilarity.

2. Remember that each of us has been given a special gift – just for entering. So you are already a winner!

3. The most powerful tool on the planet today is Tell-A-Vision. That is where I tell a vision to you and you tell a vision to me

4. Life is like photography. You use the negative to develop.

5. As we go through life thinking heavy thoughts, thought particles
tend to get caught between our ears, causing a condition called truth
decay. So be sure to use your truth brush and mental floss twice a day.
And when you’re tempted to practice tantrum yoga, remember what we
teach in the Absurdiveness Training Class: “Don’t get even, get odd.”

6. If we want world peace, we must let go of our attachments and truly
live like nomads. That’s where I no mad at you, you no mad at me. That
way, there will surely be nomadness on the planet. And peace begins
with each of us. A little peace here, a little peace there, pretty soon
all the peaces will fit together to make one big peace everywhere.

7. I know great earth changes have been predicted for the future, so if
you’re looking to avoid earthquakes, my advice is simple. When you find
a fault, just don’t dwell on it.

8. There’s no need to change the world. All we have to do is toilet train the world, and we’ll never have to change it again.

9. Everything I have told you is channeled. That way, if you don’t like
it, it’s not my fault. And remember, enlightenment is not a
bureaucracy. You don’t have to go through channels.

10.  Finally, if you’re looking to find the key to the universe, I
have some bad news and some good news. The bad news is – there is no
key to the Universe. The good news is – it was never locked.”

Be a light unto the world – not a candle snuffer.

I shall allow myself to feel capable
— so that I may seek excellence.

I shall allow myself to feel sadness
— so that joy may return.

I shall allow myself to feel happy
— so that I may be revitalized.

I shall allow myself to feel afraid
— so that I may find courage.

I shall allow myself to feel alone
— so that I may know me.

I shall allow myself to feel beautiful
— so that I may feel free.

I shall allow myself to feel lovable
— so that the loving may seek me.

I shall allow myself to feel pain
— so that I may heal.

I shall allow myself to feel worthy
— so that I may fulfill my purpose.

When I am centered, I see the perfection in the world, myself and others.

When I find the world to be imperfect, I will take responsibility for
painting it that way. I will look into the heart of a rose, or the eyes
of a newborn baby and again know perfection.

I take responsibility for creating my own life story through the
choices I have made — to blame others is to give away my personal
power.

Who will I allow to write the next chapter of my life?

I shall make a small difference on this planet through the work I do —
when I leave I will have done my share. I shall live, love, laugh, and
learn on my journey …

People will forget what you said,
People will forget what you did,
But people will never forget how you made them feel.

If you go deeply enough into your mind, and deeply enough into mine, we
have the same mind. The concept of a divine, or “Christ” mind, is the
idea that, at our core, we are not just identical, but actually the
same being. “There is only one begotten Son” doesn’t mean that someone
else was it and we’re not. It means we’re all of it. There’s only one
of us here.
– Marianne Williamson, from A Year of Daily Wisdom

If you could really accept that you weren’t okay
You could stop proving that you were okay.
If you could stop proving that you were okay
You could get that it was okay not to be okay
If you could get that it was okay not to be okay
You could get that you were okay the way you are
You’re okay, get it?
– Werner Erhard

Do not say, “I follow the one true path of the Spirit,” but rather, “I
have found the Spirit walking on my path”, for the Spirit walks on all
paths.
– Kahlil Gibran

Could you keep your heart in wonder at the daily miracles of life, your pain would not seem less wondrous than your joy.
– Kahlil Gibran

If the essence of my being has caused a smile to have appeared upon
your face or a touch of joy within your heart, then in living – I have
made my mark.
– Thomas L. Odem, Jr

No matter how elaborately it is disguised, the truth always reveals
itself in the end. Why not tell the truth now, and face our fears head
on, instead of burying the truth and living in perpetual fear of every
little tremor we feel underfoot. It takes courage to be authentic. It
take courage to spill the beans when we know the other person hates
beans. But if beans are all you have, why pretend they are grapes?
– Paul Ferrini, Enlightenment for Everyone

The Perfect Way is only difficult for those who pick and choose.
Do not like, do not dislike; all will then be clear.  Make a
hairsbreadth difference, and Heaven and Earth are set apart.
– Seng-Ts’an

The soul that is attached to anything, however much good there may be
in it, will not arrive at the liberty of divine union. For whether it
be a strong wire rope or a slender and delicate thread that holds the
bird, it matters not, if it really holds it fast; for until the cord be
broken, the bird cannot fly.
– Saint John of the Cross

We constructed self from meaningless words.  We maintain the
illusion of self by continuously repeating those words both silently
and aloud. When we hush, self ceases to exist.
– Carson’s Commentary

Asking for help is asking for your potential to activate.  How
much potential? It’s as unlimited and complete as God. Can you get God?
Yes. All of God? Yes. Total God? Yes – but not more than you can
handle. So you best get on with handling what is yours so you can
handle more of what God has in store.
– John Morton

As kindness comes in infinite forms, there is no shortage of creative
opportunity for expressing it. Kindness can be enormously fun to
practice because it often catches people by surprise. You can see their
faces slowly melt into a smile or break out into a grin.

One day a farmer’s donkey fell down into a well. The animal cried
piteously for hours as the farmer tried to figure out what to do.

Finally, he decided the animal was old, and the well needed to be
covered up anyway; it just wasn’t worth it to retrieve the donkey.

He invited all his neighbours to come over and help him. They all
grabbed a shovel and began to shovel dirt into the well. At first, the
donkey realized what was happening and cried horribly. Then, to
everyone’s amazement he quieted down.

A few shovel loads later, the farmer finally looked down the well. He
was astonished at what he saw. With each shovel of dirt that hit his
back, the donkey was doing something amazing. He would shake it off and
take a step up.

As the farmer’s neighbours continued to shovel dirt on top of the
animal, he would shake it off and take a step up. Pretty soon, everyone
was amazed as the donkey stepped up over the edge of the well and
happily trotted off!

Life is going to shovel dirt on you, all kinds of dirt. The trick to
getting out of the well is to shake it off and take a step up. Each of
our troubles is a steppingstone. We can get out of the deepest wells
just by not stopping, never giving up! Shake it off and take a step up.

I surrender my ego consciousness by accepting it the way it is. I don’t
try to get rid of it. I don’t let it take of my life. I just
acknowledge that it is there. I become aware of the ups and downs
within my consciousness just as I am aware of the ups and downs in my
external life. I ride the waves of consciousness and experience,
holding it all in compassionate awareness. My judgments, my fears, my
expectations rest now in something larger, wider and deeper than the
egoic consciousness that gives them birth. They rest in my loving
acceptance. They rest in my awareness that whatever is happening right
now in this moment is perfect. It is exactly as it needs to be.

– Paul Ferrini, from Grace Unfolding

We must let go of the life we have planned, so as to accept the one that is waiting for us.

I don’t believe people are looking for the meaning of life as much as they are looking for the experience of being alive.

The privilege of a lifetime is being who you are.

Find a place inside where there’s joy, and the joy will burn out the pain.

When you follow your bliss… doors will open where you would not have
thought there would be doors; and where there wouldn’t be a door for
anyone else.

The goal of life is to make your heartbeat match the beat of the universe, to match your nature with Nature.

I think the person who takes a job in order to live – that is to say, for the money – has turned himself into a slave.

Your sacred space is where you can find yourself again and again.

God is a metaphor for that which transcends all levels of intellectual thought. It’s as simple as that.

– all these quotes by Joseph Campbell, American author, editor, philosopher and teacher, 1904-1987

A human being is a part of the whole, called by us ‘Universe,’ a part
limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and
feelings as something separated from the rest – a kind of optical
delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is akind of prison for us,
restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few
persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this
prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living
creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty. Nobody is able to
achieve this completely, but the striving for such achievement is in
itself a part of the liberation and a foundation for inner security.
– Albert Einstein

Our happiness is not dependent on the perceptions or the actions of
someone else.  Nor is it dependent on attention, or lack of it,
from a loved one. Our occupation may be challenging and fulfilling;
however, the joy we get from it depends on the attitude we carry to the
job.  In every way, whether in the company of others or by
ourselves, we make our own happiness.

And to this I quote Alice Meynell: “Happiness is not a matter of events; it depends upon the tides of the mind.”

– Miguel-Angel Carmen de Santiago-León
