Got Help

An old friend needed a place to stay for some length of time, probably not exceeding a year. I got permission from my landlord, and over the past two weekends moved her in. She has her own room. So far things appear to be working. This will allow me to get caught up even more quickly on my debt — there is some (outside) chance I might be out of debt by next Yule… I’ll be happy to do more than cut it in half.

Nothing much going on. Work is being work. No concerts scheduled yet for 2015. I have one convention scheduled at my expense, and hope to be able to schedule another in May.

Lazy Days

My friend has moved on, hopefully to find housing and employment soon. He is welcome to come back for a few days if needed.

I have a weekend off, which is normal.

I’m not doing much of anything. There is still some unpacking or repacking to do, getting my storage in better shape, etc. I will likely take a stab at some of this.

I have another friend coming for a couple days’ visit from Detroit, due to arrive on the 9th. We are considering taking in a Smokies baseball game on the 11th before she moves along.

It is nice to have control of my life, a comfortable apartment, and almost enough food to get by until I get more (next paycheck on the 3rd).

Me

Happy Turkey Day

Rather than make a useless apology for the #genocide basic to our country’s birth, I just wanted to say I hope you all have family and/or loved ones to spend the #holidays with. My sweet Sunshine and I will be going to a friend’s house for food and community, then spending a long weekend together.

Everything has been fine. I had enough money to almost get through the month (much thanks to my #mother for providing the vigorish), enough #love and #companionship, enough shelter. My cat hates me less every day.

May you be richly blessed over this winter season and emerge with new growth in Spring.

Hugs,
Me
