Anxiety is almost always inappropriate. Ninety-nine percent of what we
worry about never happens. But the mind, the amazing mind, may have
other ideas.

One of the interesting things about intelligence is that it goes to
work automatically, thinks things out, projects outcomes when a premise
is established.

So once we get on a track of worrying concern, the brain train travels
to the  end of the line, figuring, justifying, rationalizing.

Once we have gone far enough down the wrong track there’s just no
arguing with us. Events must play themselves out and the truth
discovered.

Of course, when we discover everything is okay the brain may say, Yeah!
And what if I hadn’t been worrying? Things might have turned out
differently.

The question is, did your concern lead you to do something that made things turn out okay?

Then, did you stop worrying once you fixed it?

Generally speaking we experience pointless, functionless anxiety. Nothing is done. We just worry.

It doesn’t help anything.

In fact, it can make things much worse.

Life so beautiful when we let go and trust the outcome.

I love being loved, cared for, but worried about?

Just love and care.

That feels good.

Religion is regarded by the common people as true, by the wise as false, and by rulers as useful.

=====

Life Is Complex
Each one of us must make his own path through life.
There are no self-help manuals, no formulas, no easy answers.

The right road for one is the wrong road for another…
The journey of life is not paved in blacktop;
it is not brightly lit, and it has no road signs.
It is a rocky path through the wilderness.

M. Scott Peck

=====

The first peace, which is the most important, is that which comes
within the souls of people when they realize their relationship, their
oneness with the universe and all it’s powers, and when they realize
that at the center of the universe dwells the Great Spirit, and that
this center is really EVERYWHERE, it is WITHIN EACH OF US.
– Black Elk (Oglala Sioux)

It’s surprising how many persons go through life without ever
recognizing that their feelings toward other people are largely
determined by their feelings toward themselves, and if you’re not
comfortable within yourself, you can’t be comfortable with others.
– Sydney J. Harris

We have the need to be accepted and to be loved by others, but we
cannot accept and love ourselves. The more self-love we have, the less
we will experience self-abuse. Self-abuse comes from self-rejection,
and self-rejection comes from having an image of what it means to be
perfect and never measuring up to that ideal. Our image of perfection
is the reason we reject ourselves the way we are, and why we don’t
accept others the way they are.
– Don Miguel Ruiz

There is no freedom like seeing myself as I am and not losing heart.
– Elizabeth J. Canham

If we could learn to like ourselves, even a little, maybe our cruelties and angers might melt away.
– John Steinbeck
